This kind of freaked me out, because I had the SAMEEXACT phone conversation with Ross during his KTUH show maybe a year and a half ago. I was lying in my bed that Wednesday afternoon, sick, when my favorite Rogue Wave song came on. Then I think CSS. That’s when I called in and the familiar incredulous/excited discourse played out.
5:05 of Best Reason to Buy the Sun by Benevento/Russo Duo, then the drums start hammering the same notes and the keyboard kind of goes up-and-down kind of tune.
I like the song—my library is so mainstream and outdated its as if the flood of mediocre music I listen to has left a cavern in that corner of my mind reserved for sweet melodies, beats, and crafted lyrics.
I stop by here now and then. Always new and always impressive here. Definitely need to track down some of these songs you have. Get that creative flow going to fill up my empty sense of music.
-And then the Universe collapsed. But then it came back.
